Welcome to CONRADAU.ca!

This is a place where hopefully I get to help shed some light and share a bit of my journey as the Pastor at The Common Place, as well as my work as the Youth Catalyst in Vancouver for the Canadian National Baptist Convention.

Recently, I began the transition from pastoring at a local church to venturing into something brand new and much need – new churches for new communities where there are no churches.  The church has historically and biblically been designed to be the centre of the community – in fact, when George Vancouver discovered our lovely city, he designed it in such way so that everyone is within walking distance to a school, a library, and a church.  Somewhere along the line, we, the ‘church’ types, have lost our ways.

Let’s shed some light on what we’re doing.  We love all – that’s who we desire to be because Jesus loves all.  There are no strings attached.  To receive this love, we’re not expecting anyone to donate, to come back to future events, or anything of the sort.  All we desire as people who start new churches, often known as church planters, is that because of this love you’d see what an amazing God He is, that He’d so love this world that He gave His only Son, and that you’d choose to love Him back because nothing else in the world compares to a relationship with Jesus Christ!

As Youth Catalysts, we believe that Youth is the most important people in the world – think about it this way: no Youth, no future.  We walk with community churches to empower them to have the best resources and support to equip our next generation – that they grow and mature into outstanding young adults who chooses to love all because Jesus loves all.

CONRADAU.ca is a place where you’ll get some of my behind-the-scenes insights through blog postings, photos, links, and so forth.  I’ll also include excerpts from various events and writings.  It’s also a place where I’d love for your feedback!
